13 Nov Cathy Haedt update
Cathy Haedt’s electrolyte levels have been much more stable the last 24 hours. Right now as I am writing this email, she has just started her chemotherapy.
They changed the chemo medication to a type that has been around for quite a while. The one they were originally planning turned out to have too much of a chance of side effects that could negatively impact her electrolytes. Apparently, this one has less of a chance of doing so.
Cathy was feeling very good today. While she is on chemo, she and the family are still requesting no visitors. However, she is accepting phone calls.
If you are a Verizon customer, you can call her cell phone at 805-404-3238. Since she has Verizon, it would not cost either of you for the call. Otherwise, go ahead and call her room directly at 818-719-2000. Her room number is 4025. Don’t be surprised if you get a busy signal, but she is open to short calls and contact as she feels up to it.
If it’s later on and she is not feeling well, she won’t answer, but no problem to try calling. She misses everyone very much. As much of a people person as Cathy is, to not be in contact personally is very hard for her.
