For those wondering where I’ve been this week, you can read about it here. My friend, Gene Stabe, and I have enjoyed the weel re-connecting as he experienced his first Study & Planning Break.

Gene pastors Living Springs Foursquare Church in Agua Dulce, California. He and I were best friends in High School and roomed at Bible College for the first couple years. We were also best man in each other’s wedding.

As our lives moved on, we remained in contat very sporadically. However, when this opportunity to take advantage of a friend’s townhouse in South Lake Tahoe opened up, Gene was able to clear his schedule and come on up.

We had a great drive on Monday. What is usually a long drive seemed to fly by as we spent the entire time catching up with each other.

Today, we woke to a fresh blanket of snow, and enjoyed a few hours of beautiful snowfall while we both hammered away at our task lists and time with the Lord. The snow was beautiful and an added bonus was that it hasn’t stuck to the roads much.

We depart about 10:00 am tomorrow. While I have really enjoyed the week with Gene, I miss Colleen and the boys terribly and am looking forward to being with them tomorrow night!
